 The Living Word

"And the Word became Flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."  John 1: 14 NKJV

This scripture speaks of the eternal Son of God, Jesus Christ, who left the heavenly realm and caome to this earth as a mortal man.  But, why did Jesus come?  The reason Jesus came is simple.  The love of the Father sent Him to re-claim our sould from the bondage of sin.  John 3: 16 tell us "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."  There are no criteria to being a "whosoever" except one - believing in Him.  Faith in the finished work of Christ is sufficient to receive eternal life.  His redemptive work was accomplished on the cross at Mount Calvary over 2000 years ago.  The blood Christ shed then has never lost its power to redeem and it never will.  It still washes white as snow!

After Christ purchased our salvation, He returned to heaven where He reigns with His Father.  But, Jesus is coming back one day.  He will return for those who love Him, who are looking for Him.  That is the rapture of the church.  It will happen as sure as every prophecy of His coming as the Suffering Savior came true.  The church has a wedding supper to attend in its future!

That is not all.  Christ will make a return to this earth as our Triumphant Lord as He comes to make war against evil.  In the Book of the Revelation, chapter 19, verses 11 - 16 describe His second coming in the manner:

Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse.  And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.  His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns.  He had a name written that no on knew except Himself.  He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.  And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.  Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations.  And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron.  He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:  King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

If you do not know the forgiveness of sin, please call on the Lord today and be saved.  (Romans 10: 13) Trust in the saving grace of Christ and the blood He shed to wash away every sin.  You then will know Him as your personal Lord and Savior.  After you pray, ask the Lord to help you live for Him each and every day of your life.  Spend time in prayer and in reading of the Scriptures on a daily basis and be active in church - your life will be transformed!

If you want further prayer, please use the prayer request tab to make your request.
